Gard News presents the members of the Team Nordic Countries, North America and Asia and members of the Insurance Department, P&I in London and Hong Kong. Back row from left: Inger-Helene Andersen, Sid Lock, Liv Gundersen, Team Nordic Countries, North America and Asia The team is led by Knut Goderstad, who has a degree in Economics and Auditing from Agder Distriktshøyskole and works with members in Norway, North America and East Asia. Bjørn Fremmerlid works with members in Norway, Finland, Denmark and the Baltic countries, and has a degree in Shipping Economics from Agder Distriktshøyskole. Tore Furnes, who has a Law degree from the University of Bergen/Nordic Institute for Maritime Law, underwrites mainly mobile offshore units, supply vessels and specialist craft. Wenche Dahle-Olsen underwrites P&I and hull and machinery for small craft. Inger Aasbø Flaten has a degree in Economics and Languages from Vestfold University College/University of Oslo and looks after members in Norway, Sweden and Germany. Karianne Kristensen has a degree in Economics from Agder Distriktshøgskole and works with Norwegian and Japanese members. Marianne Bruun Mackrill, who has an ACII Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute, works with mobile offshore units, supply vessels and specialist craft. London Steve Mulcahy, who worked for HSBC Insurance Brokers Limited and SBJ Marine & Energy prior to joining Gard, and is currently reading for a Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Law at London Metropolitan University, works with members in the Gulf, India, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the UK. Samira Hmam, a graduate from Université Paris XIII in her native France, who has recently completed the first part of the Chartered Insurance Institute qualification, supports Iain and Steve with documentation.
