The Singapore Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) has imposed restrictions on all vessels calling or transiting Singapore port to avoid certain areas of the port during the period 10-13 June 2018.

The restrictions are in line with the security measures adopted by the port during the high level meeting taking place in Singapore between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un.

The Singapore MPA’s notice no 060 of 2018 prohibits all vessels from transiting, anchoring or remaining in certain areas including Selat Sengkir, Keppel Harbour, Cruise Bay, Off Sentosa Coast. Further details on duration of the exclusions can be found in the MPA notice and mariners are advised to include the prohibitory notice during voyage planning.

In addition to the prohibited areas, the notice also restricts vessels movements at the Sisters Fairway and part of Western Anchorage and Buran Channel during the period 12 to 13 June. Details can be found in the charts provided as an Appendix to the above notice. The restrictions exempt approved regional ferries to and from the Harbour Front regional Ferry terminal.

It is expected that the prohibited and restricted area will be under close surveillance. For queries, Members and their agents can contact the Marine Safety Control Centre at +65 6325 2488/9 or Mr Bernard Chin at +65 6773 7413.
