220.127.116.11 NATIONAL LEGAL REQUIREMENTSShips trading to areas where drug smuggling is likely to occur should comply with applicable national legal requirements, such as the US Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TAPT), which has been signed by many companies to prevent amongst others the smuggling of drugs. The security measures required to be kept by the C-TAPT should form part of the vessel’s SSP. Non-compliance with the measures laid down and agreed will have serious consequences for both the vessel and the Company. The vessel can even be confiscated under this agreement.
