Historically marine insurance products have reflected the way in which risk has been apportioned between the various participants in the shipping industry by traditional chartering and transport contracts. Specialisation and structural changes within the shipping industry increasingly creates the need for specialised insurance solutions to reflect new risks and new ways of apportioning risk among the participants involved.

Tailor made is a wide concept. It can be anything from including a minor amendment to a standard clause or wording, to drafting a completely new wording for a clients' specific business needs. The latter type of product requires close co-operation with the client in order to get a thorough and in depth understanding of the business, thereby enabling us to create a "made to measure" product.

Creative use of insurance can make an important contribution to the viability of new ideas and projects.
